WHAT IS A FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER?
Family Resource Centers were created as part of the Kentucky Education Reform Act. Our goal is to remove barriers to a child's success in school.
We offer a variety of services to provide academic support, meet basic needs, and link families to community resources. Our funding comes from the Cabinet of Health and Family Services, Department of Education, and Hardin County Schools.

WHO RUNS THE NORTH PARK FRC?
The center is staffed with a Coordinator, Ms. Ivy, along with a community outreach liason and a parent educator. There is an advisory council made up of North Park parents, staff, and community members. The advisory council meets every other month. The meetings are open to the public and advertised on the North Park FRC Facebook page. Please contact Ms.Ivy Tayor for more information.

Services are available to ALL children and families of North Park Elementary School. The center is "family focused."

WHAT SERVICES ARE OFFERED?
North Park has been recognized as a Purple Star School. This is a state-sponsored recognition designed to emphasize the importance of assisting military children with school transition and developing programs that recognize the value of military service and civic responsibility.
