North Park Parents -
We have a family night on October 23rd (book fair, food, storywalk, free book, , obstacle course, craft). More info to come on that. BUT - I wanted to go ahead and share that we will have a teddy bear mobile truck on site. They are taking pre-orders and if we have 75 orders, we receive $5 per order for our school. These are really nice (like Build-a-Bear) and a fun experience for kids. Pre-ordered stuffed animals include a North Park shirt! LOTS of animals to choose from. REMINDER - There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 13, 2025! The day is a Professional Learning Day for Hardin County Schools staff. We are excited to welcome students on Tuesday, October 14, 2025!!
Tomorrow is our first "dive" day for kindergarten! Students will get to pretend to be scuba divers as we "dive" deep into learning! Kindergarten students will get to visit different classrooms in the morning for a day of no worksheets or pencils! All hands on reading games and activities! In the afternoon we will have sack lunch picnics, our monthly PBIS ice cream reward, playground time, a dance party and a special storytelling session. A great way to wrap up our first quarter!

THANK YOU to all of our preschool parents who were willing to run for SBDM representative. After counting the ballots, Kindra Miller has been selected to be the preschool rep based on the voting. We truly appreciate everyone who was willing to run and those who came by to vote today.
Parents - reminder that our SBDM election to elect a parent rep from preschool is TOMORROW. Please come by the lobby any time between 7:10-3:00 to vote! Guardians, please do not send medication of any kind in your student's backpack. This poses a danger to your child and other children. All medication must be physically brought in by a guardian along with all appropriate paperwork/doctor's orders. We will not accept any medication to include inhalers, cough syrup, pain, meds, any rescue medication, etc. that has been sent in a child's book bag.

Preschool parents - we are in great need of a preschool parent to serve on our NPES Site Based Decision Making Council (SBDM). This council is very important and helps make decisions/governs our school. We need to fill a 2-year spot with a preschool parent. It is a once-a-month commitment. We meet on the third Thursday of the month at 3:00. You may come in person or join us on Google Meet. There is a mandatory training on October 21st and 28th. If you are interested in running in the election for this spot, please email Mrs. Hayes at laurabeth.hayes@hardin.kyschools.us or message here on the HCS app. We appreciate your consideration!

We are excited to welcome our pre-registered grandparents to the ice cream social today (and tomorrow)! Please communicate with grandparents that they must bring an ID and it would be very beneficial to know the name of your child's teacher when they arrive to expedite arrival. THANK YOU! Unfortunately, we cannot accept any registrations as we are prepped and ready with the information previously received. Thank you for understanding.
Due to a mechanical issue, the sheep bus (1730) is having to wait to switch students to a new bus. She is still in our parking lot and will be delayed a few minutes starting her route.
Cumberland Health's FLU shot clinic will be Tuesday Sept 23rd and Friday Sept 26th for North Park. Flu consents are being sent home today. They MUST be returned by September 17th for the Cumberland Health Clinic to process paperwork on time. This is OPTIONAL and a service provided for families.
