Parents - as we shared yesterday, please do not park in the NHHS lot. Go past the football field and park between NHHS and North Middle. Thank you!

Our Tiny Trojans showed up to win - and they did! Our fitness team competed today in the district-wide competition for the first time in school history and they WON the primary division!! This event has been taking place since 1992 and a team of kindergarten students has never won. They did amazing and we are very proud of them.

NPES Families - please see the message from North Hardin High School below: Our Fine Arts Festival is upcoming next Thursday, April 30th from 6-8 PM located at NHHS! We would LOVE for students and families to come and see the hard work that our high school students have completed this year! We are going to have a bunch of kids activities, games, crafts, face painting, etc. We will have our art show, fashion gallery, and band and choir performances. I'm sure that many of your students have older siblings that attend and have work displayed and/or performing!

NPES Families: We need your help with a situation that needs to be addressed. We have had multiple calls over the last few weeks - including three calls just today - regarding the handicapped spaces in the front of our parking lot. Just like in any public place, these spots were designed and reserved for guests with valid disabilities and handicapped tags. Each morning, we have MANY parents utilizing these spaces who do not have a tag displayed. This is presenting a problem when guests arrive who legitimately need the handicapped spaces and cannot find a space. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school environment for our students AND our families/guests. We do not want to have to police the parking lot, as we are focused on your students during drop-off and throughout the day. However, we will start to do so, if needed, to ensure that all of our guests have an accessible experience at North Park. Thank you for your help with this. I know it's very busy in the morning, but unless you have a tag, please refrain from using the handicapped spaces and utilize the many vacant spots in our main parking lot. If you do have a tag, please display it. Thank you for helping us resolve this issue! Have a great day!

NPES Families: We are receiving some calls regarding parent chaperones for the field trip to Possibility Playground. We appreciate your willingness, but we do not need or have room for parent chaperones for this trip. We have nearly 100 staff members attending for approximately 600 students who will be in school that day. So, our ratio is fantastic for supervision. Additionally, it is a well-contained area and we have a scheduled plan for the day to keep everyone busy and safe! A few have asked about the distance - it is 36 miles to Hayswood Park, which is closer than the Louisville Zoo and other locations we attend for field trips. Your children will have a safe, fun and exciting day! I hope these answers help clarify some of your questions. Have a great day!

The Hardin County Schools Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council is collecting items to brighten the lives of local homebound residents and those in long-term care facilities.
A collection bin has been placed at each school in the district. Students, staff, families, parents and community members are encouraged to bring items that would help bring a smile to senior citizens. The collection drive will last from April 21 to May 5, 2026. Go to the News and Announcements section of
www.hardin.kyschools.us for a list of items and for more information.

If you haven't checked out the wishlist, I'd appreciate if you might consider taking a look. The teachers/staff don't know about all of this, so I'd love to surprise them with everything on the list and it would be great to clear the list tonight! Thank you for loving on our amazing staff. - Mrs. Hayes 💙😊

NPES Kindergarten Families: Today you will see a gold half-sheet form in your child's folder. This form will ask you to indicate where your child is attending first grade. Your child will be attending first grade wherever you are districted to attend UNLESS you applied for out-of-district approval and RECEIVED approval from that principal. We are preparing to take students to our feeder schools later this month, and we want to make sure all of our lists are accurate. Please send this gold form back by FRIDAY. THANK YOU!

NPES Families - we need your help! We LOVE our staff here at NPES. Teacher Appreciation week is coming up the first week of May. Since we do not have a PTA and most of our school funds are earmarked for student use only, we have limited funds to celebrate/honor our amazing staff. We have 100 staff members here. We have secured some donations for a few of the days, but we need your help! I have made a wishlist and I would really love to make it a special week for the staff. There are items of all price ranges. Thank you SO MUCH for your consideration. Our parents ALWAYS come through for us and we appreciate how you make the staff feel loved. - Mrs. Hayes
