NPES Families: Please remember that there is NO PRESCHOOL tomorrow due to preschool screenings and registration day. Kindergarten is on schedule as normal. We have an awesome registration event planned. If your child is coming to kindergarten, come join us any time from 9:00-2:00! NPES Kindergarten Families: You will find NTI packets for days 9 and 10 in your child's folder. WE ARE ONLY SENDING THESE BECAUSE WE HAVE UTILIZED ALL OF THE PACKETS PREVIOUSLY SENT HOME. We wanted you to have 9 and 10 just in case they are needed in the future. We changed the packets slightly to align the work with the end-of-year expectations for kindergarten students. We wanted you to see what students should be working on by now and should master within the next two months. If we do not need the packets for NTI work, they would be great resources for you to use at home to practice critical kindergarten skills. Some of your students will be able to complete the packet independently at this point, and others may need some assistance to complete the work. Either way, the packets are a great way for you to see where your child is at academically for this stage in the kindergarten school year. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to your teacher or to me (Mrs. Hayes, principal). Again, we have no reason to believe we need these packets any time soon, I just wanted us to be prepared. Have a great day!

NPES Parents! Join us tonight from 6:00-7:30!!! We have SO MANY fun, free things to do tonight! Plus, we have a couple of affordable food trucks and the candy laady from Simply Sweet Candy Co will be back with all her reasonably-priced goodies for sale. The kids always love her treats. We cannot wait to see you. The front doors open at 6:00 pm.
We have such a fun night planned for you tomorrow night! Come out between 6:00-7:30 for great activities, our drum club performances, Kids Heart Challenge stations, inflatables, food trucks and SO much more!!
NPES: With some additional donations that have been given to us, we are within about $400 of our big goal for the Kids Heart Challenge. WOW!!!! SO VERY CLOSE. The American Heart Association is sending us an extra prize for EVERY STUDENT if we hit our goal. We will also give away a stuffed sloth warmie. Any student who registers or receives a donation between now and Friday will be entered for that drawing! Our window closes on Friday. I think it would be amazing to cross this final small milestone. Trojan Families - check out this great opportunity for summer childcare in the month of June! YMCA is hosting a summer camp at North Park Elementary starting the end of May until the end of June. The camp will include outdoor activities, field trips and hands on fun! The camp will operate from 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM each day.

NPES: Tomorrow is a BIG day at NPES! It's Kid's Heart Challenge Day! We are really getting close to our goal now - wow! $6300! I bet we could really bump up tonight. 154 students are registered. Consider registering tonight and that number will soar! Remember your child should have tennis shoes on tomorrow and comfy clothes. Coach Ace and volunteer/former PE teacher Kermit Olive have worked HARD to set up and practice stations with students. We can't wait to see them in action!
