NPES: With some additional donations that have been given to us, we are within about $400 of our big goal for the Kids Heart Challenge. WOW!!!! SO VERY CLOSE. The American Heart Association is sending us an extra prize for EVERY STUDENT if we hit our goal. We will also give away a stuffed sloth warmie. Any student who registers or receives a donation between now and Friday will be entered for that drawing! Our window closes on Friday. I think it would be amazing to cross this final small milestone. WE CAN DO IT!

We apologize for the inconvenience and confusion with bus 1730 (sheep bus) this morning. There was a sub driver as well as a sub monitor. We are aware that some students may have been missed or not picked up at all. If you could bring them to the school, we would greatly appreciate it!

NPES: Tomorrow is a BIG day at NPES! It's Kid's Heart Challenge Day! We are really getting close to our goal now - wow! $6300! I bet we could really bump up tonight. 154 students are registered. Consider registering tonight and that number will soar! Remember your child should have tennis shoes on tomorrow and comfy clothes. Coach Ace and volunteer/former PE teacher Kermit Olive have worked HARD to set up and practice stations with students. We can't wait to see them in action!

NPES Families: Good morning! I just wanted to send a friendly reminder that our preschool drop-off procedures have always been to park and walk your child inside the school. We have never utilized the front curved area as a place for you to park. We stopped utilizing that space a few years ago, as it causes congestion, frustration and confusion. We had double lanes in that area even this morning, which can be very dangerous. We used to have a staff member outside to direct cars away from that area at the beginning of the year, but it had not been necessary for quite some time. This morning we noticed it was very full. We will place cones moving forward. You may use that space after 7:35 for students coming in later in the day or being picked up. With all the days off, we felt that families may have forgotten our procedures and we wanted to clarify. Thank you so much for understanding. We just want to keep everyone safe and follow the procedures we have previously set. Have a great day!

NPES Families! Back to school tomorrow on a 2-hour delay! YAY! We WILL celebrate the 100th Day of School tomorrow. Please see the graphic regarding info for a 2-hour delay. YOU MAY DROP OFF BEFORE 9:10 if needed...but we will not be operating the car rider line until 9:10. You MUST bring your child to the front of the school if you are arriving between 7:10 (when doors will open) and when the car rider line will start (approx. 9:10). Please use caution in our lot. It has been cleared, but there still may be some slick spots when you are walking. Please read the newsletter I sent earlier if you have not done so already. Lots of important details for the week. https://app.smore.com/n/rk23qc
